vCard QR code generator
Type your name, phone number, e-mail and other details, and get a QR code that adds you to someone’s contacts when they scan it with their phone camera. The code holds the details themselves, so it never expires, needs no account and sends nobody through a tracking link.

How to make a contact QR code
- Fill in your details. Only the fields you fill in are used. A name with a phone number or e-mail address is enough. To reuse a contact you already have, open the Start from a .vcf contact file box and choose the file.
- Check the code. It appears as you type. Scan it with your own phone’s camera: a contact card should open with your details.
- Download it as a PNG for screens and documents, or as an SVG for print, which stays sharp at any size.
Static codes: why this one never stops working
Many QR code sites make “dynamic” codes. Those hold a short link to the site’s own server, which then sends the phone to your details, counts the scans, and often stops working when a trial or subscription ends. The code made here is static: the contact details are written into the pattern itself as a vCard. It works offline, can’t be switched off by anyone, and nobody learns who scanned it.
Printing it on a business card
- Size: print it at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide. A code with many details is denser; give it 3.5 cm, or leave out the address.
- Contrast: keep it dark on a light background. The downloads are black on white, which scans best.
- Space around it: leave a white margin of at least four squares’ width on every side, as the QR standard asks. The downloads include it, so don’t crop it off.
- Test before printing: scan a proof with two different phones.
What happens when someone scans it
On iPhone, the Camera app shows a banner; tapping it opens a contact card with Create New Contact. On Android, the camera or Google Lens offers to add the contact. Nothing is installed and no website is visited.
Which details to include
Fewer details make a smaller, easier code. Name, mobile number, e-mail and company cover most needs. A full postal address adds the most length. Use the full international number format (such as +1 555 0100) if people abroad may scan the code.

Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. The details are stored in the code itself, not behind a link, so it keeps working for as long as it can be scanned.
Is it free to use on business cards?
Yes. There is no sign-up, watermark or limit, and you can print the code wherever you like.
Why won’t my phone scan the code?
Usually it is printed too small, with too little contrast, or without white space around it. Print it larger, black on white, and leave a margin. If it holds a lot of details, leave out the address to make it less dense.
Can I change the details later?
A static code can’t be changed after it is printed; you make a new one. That is the trade-off for a code that needs no server and never expires.
Can I make QR codes for a whole team?
One at a time for now. For many people at once, you can make a .vcf file for everyone with the CSV to vCard converter, and share that file instead.
Are my details sent anywhere?
No. The code is made by your browser on your device. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.
