How to make return address labels
- Type your name and address, one line each, as you want them printed.
- Choose the label sheet and how many sheets you need. The picture shows how the labels will look.
- Download the PDF and print it at 100% (“Actual size”), first on plain paper, then on the labels.
Which sheet to use
- Avery 5167 (and 8167): 80 small labels of ½" × 1¾" on US Letter, made for return addresses.
- Avery L7651: 65 small labels of 38.1 × 21.2 mm on A4.
- Avery 5160 or L7160: larger labels with room for a longer address or a business name.
Small labels fit three or four short lines. Leave out the country for letters within your own country, and use the short forms the post office accepts, such as state codes.
Printing tips
- Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, never “Fit to page”.
- Tick “Print label outlines” for a test on plain paper, and hold it against a label sheet in front of a light.
- If every label is off by the same amount, move the print by that many millimetres and test again.

Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account or watermark. One PDF holds up to 20 sheets; make another for more.
Can I add a picture or logo?
Not here. The labels hold text only, which keeps small labels easy to read and print.
How many lines fit on a label?
Up to six lines are used. The small 5167 and L7651 labels hold four or five lines; three or four short ones are easiest to read. The text is sized to fit, and the list under the preview says if a label had to be printed smaller, a long line shortened with “…”, or a line left out.
Can I print labels for many different addresses?
Yes, with address labels from Excel or CSV: one label per row of a spreadsheet.
Is my address sent anywhere?
No. The PDF is made by your browser on your device, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
