How it works
- 1Add your files
CSV, Excel, JSON, VCF, ICS, OFX or QIF files, or pasted text. They open in this browser tab, not on a server.
- 2Check the preview
The tool matches your columns for you. You see what the new file will contain and can change anything before you save it.
- 3Download
Save the result and import it into your phone, calendar or accounting app. Each converter’s page explains how.
Why “never uploaded” matters
Contact lists, calendars and bank statements are among the most private files you have. Most online converters upload them to a server to do the work. These tools don’t. The conversion runs on your own device, so your data stays with you. Learn how your files are handled
Each tool follows the official rules for its file format (vCard, iCalendar, OFX, QIF) and handles the differences found in real files from iPhone, Android, Google, Outlook, Quicken and banks. Every tool is tested automatically. Before each release, the files it makes are also checked with independent open-source programs that read these formats.
- Converted on your deviceYour files open and convert in this browser tab.
- Never uploadedWhen you convert, no server receives your contacts, calendars or statements.
- Checked before every releaseOutput is tested with independent readers for each format.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. There are no paid plans and no sign-up. You can convert up to 20 files and 150 MB at a time, which is about as much as a browser tab can work on at once.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The page loads a small program into your browser. That program reads your file, converts it and gives you the result, all on your own device. If you want to check, open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and convert a file: none of the traffic listed there contains your data.
Which tool do I need?
Drop your files into the box at the top of this page, and it lists the converters that can open them. Or use Search at the top of any page (Ctrl+K, or ⌘K on a Mac) and type what you have and what you want, for example “excel to contacts” or “bank csv to quickbooks”.
Can I download my converted files again later?
Yes, in the same browser on the same device, if you turn on History. You are asked after your first download, or you can use the switch on any tool page. Then open the History page to download your files again or delete them. Copies older than 30 days are deleted, and they are never uploaded.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any up-to-date browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Very large files convert faster on a computer, because the work is done on your own device.
Something didn’t convert correctly. What now?
Please tell us which tool you used and what went wrong. Don’t send your real file. A copy with a few made-up rows that shows the same problem is best.
